Program Overview

The program will include contributions from our two high profile international speakers with support from New Zealand and Australian faculty.

The program will include cardiology and cardiac surgical topics highlighting current controversies and recent advances in adult congenital heart disease with a focus on heart failure and transplant. It will be designed to have appeal to cardiac teams with established and developing programs for this expanding field.

 

Main topics will include:

- An update on heart failure and transplant in the setting of ACHD
- Evolving interventional strategies for adult congenital heart disease
- Refining excellence in surgical outcome and health systems
- Fontan circulation update.

With major themes of:

- Congenital/structural intervention
- Optimisation of models of care
- Evoloving therapies for an evolving population. 

There will be two Case Presentation Prize sessions for junior members of the team to present with the support of their local team. Case based discussion of these complex cases will be undertaken and we anticipate a highly interactive and collegial gathering.
